Aimé
Maquignaz is born in 1946 in Breuil
Cervinia in the Valle d’Aosta
region.
He attended school in Piedmont and
he graduated in Law at Cattolica University
in Milan.
In the seventies he begins his career
as a politician, and becomes the mayor
of Valtournenche and then member of
the city council.
Later on, he devotes his time to his
main activity as a hotelier and his
love for painting grows stronger and
stronger.
He travels around a lot, in Europe,
Africa, America, Russia, Japan and
Mongolia, in order to learn, to study,
to see and especially to experience
the emotion of different civilizations,
where it is easier to feel the ‘primordial’.
He successfully exhibits his paintings
in France, in Plateau d’Assy,
in Italy, in Rome, Florence, Milan,
Aosta, Salerno and Breuil-Cervinia,
in his hotel, one of the most well-known
hotels among artists and art-lovers |
